Vocational Services

Exploring vocational options at various stages of vocational readiness is possible through a variety of services at ERGO-Wise.

Vocational Testing

Vocational Testing assesses work-related aptitudes and educational achievement levels. A certified vocational evaluator administers standard vocational tests which help identify transferable skills, job options, and any needed training.

Pre-vocational Work Program

This program is specifically designed for the worker who is not yet ready for return to work but can benefit from a structured work program. It shares some of the attributes of a cognitive work hardening program but the demands are lighter to match the worker's functional stage and it will often be a pre-cursor to a Community Placement Program.

Community Placement Program

This program offers a worker a non-paid placement to develop work skills in a community-based setting. Following an initial assessment, an appropriate placement opportunity is sought. Monitoring and support during the placement are provided by an occupational therapist and/or a vocational counsellor.
